Alt Text

I will first activate the Alternative Text for Screen Readers to read text blocks and describe images. This feature also allows users to change the text font, color, and size to fit their needs.

AltText
  • Note 1: Screen readers will read Closed Captions instead of slide content if CC is active.
  • Note 2: The user must be able to mute the audio on Slide so the Screen Reader can read elements instead.
  • Note 3: The user must have the option to pause/play the Slide so the Screen Reader can read the CC if active.

Focus Order

Some users use the "Tab" key to navigate the course, as well as the arrows and bar space. Focus Order will allow Screen Readers and Keyboard users to read and move from one element to the next in the right Order. It will also let me exclude unnecessary elements like shades and avatars to be read by Screen Readers.

FocusOrder
  • Note: The TAB key only reads elements with interactivity (no static graphics nor text boxes).
  • Note: The TAB key cannot handle drag-and-drop interactions.

Closed Captions

Despite the ability of the video player to display CC independently, Storyline 360 can and should display Closed Captions from audio and video in the same way. I will sync your audio and videos with Closed Captions in English, Spanish, or French.

ClosedCaptions
  • Note: The user should be able to turn the Closed Captions on and off.

Player

Everything in GREEN can be activated/deactivated with TRIGGERS. Keyboard shortcuts can and should remain activated. Clear and well-paced VOs can solve the playback speed button.

  • Note: The PLAYER functionality is optional.
